The Confidence Task Force is a non-profit corporation whose primary purpose is to strengthen confidence in Kansas public education and to increase awareness of the positive aspects of public education in this state.
The Task Force was created in 1981 to promote cooperation among state education agencies, bring recognition to volunteers serving public education in Kansas, and to heighten awareness of the important role of public education in our society.

What we do...
This program annually recognizes the top one percent of graduating high school seniors in Kansas. These students are invited by the Governor to a luncheon and awards ceremony at Washburn University on the first Sunday in May. Students receive a certificate of recognition presented personally by the Governor. The Task Force coordinates and administers the program. Close to $20,000 in funding is raised annually under the auspices of the Governor's office.
